Church of the Origin

Williamina Fleming's Triangular Wisp

(Inspired by L'Origine du monde
by Gustave Courbet)

Come worship at the Origin, chum.
From here all Christs, all Buddhas come.

Then lick my navel
Kiss my nipples,

Lift up my hair
And kiss my nape.

Then kiss my lipsticked lips
But no tongue please.

I never do tongue
On the first date.

Perhaps there is no true origin; perhaps there is only the six intermediate states.

"Alas, now, as the intermediate state of living arises before me, renouncing laziness for which there is no time in this life, I must enter the un-distracted path of study, reflection, and meditation. Taking perceptual experience and the nature of mind as the path, I must cultivate actualization of the three Buddha bodies. Now, having obtained this precious human body this one time, I do not have the luxury of remaining on a distracted path."

Or, as Pink Floyd put it:

“A soul in tension that's learning to fly
Condition grounded but determined to try
Can't keep my eyes from the-circling-skies
Tongue-tied and twisted just an earth-bound misfit, I”

Or, as The Eagles put it:

"Mirrors on the ceiling, the pink champagne on ice; and she said, 'We are all just prisoners here, of our own device.' And in the master's chambers, they gathered for the feast, they stab it with their steely knives, but they just can't kill the beast.

Last thing I remember, I was running for the door. I had to find the passage back
to the place I was before.'Relax,' said the night man,'We are programmed to receive.
You can check-out any time you like, but you can never leave!'"

". . . therefore, Shariputra, since Bodhisattvas have no attainments, they rely on this profound perfection of wisdom and abide in it; having no obscurations in their minds, they have no fear and by going utterly beyond error, they will reach the end of Nirvana . . . "
